The sights and sounds of this everchanging landscape make this an adventurous walk to remember.
Traversing boulders, passing caves and hiking up steep climbs can sometimes be challenging, especially when you have overeager rugrats on the loose.
The reward is spotting sea otters, bats, and whales – the big prize at the end is to behold a waterfall flowing into the ocean. The sea on your left, a natural waterfall and a pool on your right.
The Waterfall Trail comprises the first 3km of the world-renowned Otter Trail.
Tips: Watch the tides, and walk according to the tide table: https://www.tidetime.org/africa/south-africa/stormsrivier.htm
Trekking beyond the waterfall is not allowed without a valid permit.
