The Vensterberg hike is a stunning mountain hike for somewhat fit grown-ups. The path is long, and the way back is quite strenuous on the legs, but the breathtaking views make you feel like you are on top of the world!
If you haven’t attempted this beautiful hike, it’s worth trying before you attempt the infamous George and Cradock peaks. Vensterberg is an excellent introduction to the beautiful George mountains (as well as the best 360-degree view of this area).
Whilst making your way to the peak, you should also capture a few photos of the famous split in the rock.
Tips: Take a map of the area; it is easy to get lost, and there are not a lot of markings along the way. Take enough snacks and water! We don’t recommend walking the Vensterberg hike on a windy day.
