Robberg Witsand Hike - Kid friendly route

A glorious half-day beach and mountain hike with the prospect of seeing whales and sharks underwater.

The perfect day hike, whether with family or a small group of people. A medium difficulty walk around the dune, down to the bottom of a beautiful private beach.

You might see sharks from the first lookout point, where you get to look deep into the water and see plenty of seals in the seal colony. If you visit during whale spotting season, you will likely see some whales.
Pro-tip; underwater creatures like sharks and whales are easier to spot with polarized sunglasses.

Another highlight is taking off your shoes and making a run down the very steep sand dune. There are fantastic photo opportunities along this path, so remember to bring fully charged devices.

Tips: Remember to pack a hearty picnic and lots of water.
