Botanical Gardens George

George Botanical Gardens River Walk

Explore indigenous plant life at the George Botanical Gardens

An enchanted place to visit with kids and friends. There are numerous paths to walk on in the gardens. One particular path that takes you to a look-out-point to view bird life. Another path leads to a picnic spot to rest your tired feet.

Indigenous trees, plants and succulents set the backdrop where you can explore birds, critters and a variety of frog species.

Our favourite spot is to go slightly off the beaten track and go west to venture down a path which takes you to a beautiful river along a lush path (due to wildlife activity, there are no dogs allowed in this specific part of the gardens).

Other cool activities include the park run on Saturdays and the night walk at the Gardens. Have a look at their website for more events.

Tips: Bring the mosquito repellent with you during Summer evening walks.

When: Visit times
