Also known as Buffels Baai, this campsite has astounding sea views located in the Goukamma Marine Reserve between George and Knysna. Even if you are not camped on one of the shore sites – the ocean is still only a hop and a skip away. The campsite itself is located at the Southernmost tip of Buffels Bay so you are essentially surrounded by the ocean. The nearest beach where there are lifeguards on duty (summer seasons) is about a 10-minute stroll.
The Buffels campsite is ideal for families or larger groups of friends. With all the entertainment and beach life in the area, you could easily spend two weeks at the campsite before going completely feral.
The secret to enjoying your stay at Buffels is to set yourself up for good and bad weather. Although all the sites are close to the sea, some of the sites have a better view while others are more protected from the wind.
